Getting to the Theatre

We strongly advise patrons against using their cars to travel to the theatre.

The Holland Park Theatre is situated in the middle of Holland Park.
Entrance to the park is via Ilchester Place Gate, Abbotsbury Road Gate, The Duchess of Bedford Gate or from Holland Walk and Holland Park Avenue.

Public transport

We strongly advise patrons to use public transport if possible. Timetables and further travel information for tubes, buses and trains to Holland Park is available at

By tube

The nearest tube stations are High Street Kensington Station and Holland Park Station. High Street Kensington, served by the District and Circle lines, is 10 minutes’ walk from the theatre or Holland Park Station, served by the Central line, is 15 minutes walk (see map below).

From Kensington High Street station
Turn left on leaving the station and walk down High Street Kensington for about 10 minutes

  • The entrance to the park is opposite Waitrose and just before the Commonwealth Institute
  • Walk up the long avenue, past the cricket field, and turn left at the top of the path

From Holland Park station
Cross over the road at the traffic lights and turn right toward Shepherds Bush and the A40

  • Walk along Holland Park Avenue and turn into Holland Park on the left
  • Continue to walk up Abbotsbury Road until you reach a sign-post for The Belvedere Restaurant and Car Park, on the left hand-side
  • The theatre is just past the restaurant and Dutch Gardens
By bus

There are six main bus routes that pass the Earls Court entrance to the park on Kensington High Street: Routes 9, 10, 27, 28, 49 and C1.

Buses are also available along Holland Park Avenue, outside Holland Park Tube Station.

By National Rail

The nearest rail station to the theatre is Kensington Olympia Station, which is approximately 20 minutes walk away. There is a taxi rank outside the station for patrons that do not wish to travel by foot to the theatre.

By bike

Holland Park does not allow cycling within the grounds of the park but dedicated cycle parking areas are provided for patrons near to the theatre opposite the café entrance. There is also a Barclays Cycle Hire docking station at the Ilchester Place Gate and Duchess of Bedford Gate entrance to Holland Park.

By foot

Pedestrian walkways are provided from all four entrance gates in Holland Park to the theatre.

We strongly advise patrons against using their cars to travel to the theatre. There is a high availability of black cabs and licensed mini cabs in the Holland Park area. Holland Park Theatre is not in the congestion charge zone.
