For many years OHP has commissioned artists to create images to represent the season's operas. The images are not representations of the productions, but the artist’s interpretations.
This year's images were designed by Caroline Blackburn. Caroline has been creating original artworks for over 20 years, regularly exhibiting her work in Holland Park Ice House among other exhibition spaces.
Based on photographs of detailed sets, she began her career by printing the images in black and white and hand colouring the images afterwards in a process of post-production editing.
Her recent works are largely made in digital format, but the pictures are still full of allegorical details, with intense post-production work. To view more of her early works, please visit www.leopardskin.co.uk
